The ASEAN Merit Scholarship supports my undergraduate studies at SMU and is awarded to high-potential students from the region who show strong academic performance and leadership potential. This award was evidence of my hard work and dedication to academic excvellence in JC where I was involved as Vice-President of my CCA as well as for my grade in the A-Levels of 90. For me, it is both a financial support and a reminder of the responsibility to contribute back to the communities I’m part of—on campus and beyond. It has allowed me to immerse myself fully in university life, from internships to co-curriculars, without losing sight of the broader regional context I come from.
